how to retrieve product info from db for other purposes

I would like to retrieve products from the agora DB, and add them to a mailing list script i have that generates emails for mailing list subscribers.

I would like them to display in a similar format to my product search list page, with links back to the product in my online agoracart.

how may i accomplish this please?

you'll need to hack the program you're using for this purpose to parse out and display the data.file. you can access that file directly from any other program on your server. just make sure your program does not make changes to the file.
it's a flat file, plain text, pipe delimited file.
