Importing Product Catalog from old store

Post Importing Product Catalog from old store 
(I have version 5) I want to import a product catalog from a prior store. I forgot the password for my store and had to re-install it. I backed up the store on my PC. How to I import the database from the old install to the new install. Thanks

are you talking agora to agora or brandx dB to agora?
if, for example, agora4.x to agora5x free versions then just copy the data.file from the old store data_files folder to the new one. if uploading and downloading make sure you always transfer the data.file in ascii mode. do not rely on any method such as cpanel's file manager or an html editor's file transfer feature where you cannot view or change the mode for the file type. in other words use ftp and force ascii if necessary.
