Post Control Category Order 
Currently the product categories appear in alphabetical order. Is there a way to chagne the order in which the product categories are listed. IE group certain product types together rather than have them list in alphabetical order.

The only thing I can think of is a real "kluge" (sp?) - start each category with a numeral:

1. Oranges
2. Apples
3. Grapes

to force the alphebetizing to put it in the order you want.
Of course, to make it look good, maybe some snazzy programmer could figure out how to strip the first few characters off the category name before it gets displayed...

Yes, I need a solution to this too. The numerical order ("1. Apples") is really not what my client wants. Any ideas?

There is code available to Gold Members for using the 1, 2, 3 ordering, but it will strip out the numbers at the beginning.

you would pad the numerals such as 01_Apples if you have more than 9 categories. probably best to pad by default for future expansion. then filter out with regex the first 2 numerals with the underscore wherever the category is displayed in a browser except for the query string. i've done this before and it works good.
btw, this limitation has nothing to do with agoracart. in any program sorting schemas would need to be invoked.
