getting rid of categories

Post getting rid of categories 
Hi..
I want to get rid of a product category that was created by default called "html" and"perl"..I tried deleting everything in the product descriptions but now the category is still coming up as "nameless" Sad

You will need to download the data.file in ASCII mode and open it in a plain html editor like EditPad Lite.
Then, find the line with the nameless and delete it.
Save the file and reupload to the server in ASCII mode.
Did you try using the "Product Delete" manager?

Thanks..I have uploaded 5.2 and everything is working fine. Only problem is, I want to get rid of all the extra text on the font page of the store that loads when you first get the store...also,I would like to input a logo into the header..would that just involve manipulating the store_header file in the html-template/theagora directory??

To edit the text in the store's home page, edit the index.html file in the 'html' directory.
Yes, you would need to manipulate the store_header.html & secure_store_header.html files in the 'html/html-templates/templates/TheAgora' directory.
Or, you can copy those files and use them in the 'html/html-templates/templates/Custom' directory.

Hi..
I am trying to edit the index.html file in the html directory. Whenever I try to delete the extra text above and below the "see what's inside our store" table, the images and table are deleted completely. I am editing with dreamweaver..is there a special trick that I need to perform in order to keep the table and delete the text??

Also, you need to make sure that you downloading & uploading in ASCII mode.
