Customized shipping

Hello all,
I am trying to set up customized shipping cost. Basically a set price per weight for a client. I'm trying to add the price in the product edit area per product.. then in the cart display area. I have the shipping price showing up on the product block.. but how can I get this same price to show in the cart display along with the shipping cost estimated in the total price?

Help me my head hurts!!

Well, I'm a bit confused. Are you shipping by weight or a shipping price per item? I'm not quite understanding how you are shipping or how you are charging the shipping..... Can you please elaborate on how you want to calculate the shipping cost??

I would like to go by weight based on lbs. per item.
1-3 lbs. – $6.95
4-6 lbs. – $7.95
7-10 lbs. – $8.95
11-20 lbs. – $10.95

In the meantime while I'm trying to figure this out I may have to add shipping into the total cost somehow.

The problem I seem to be having is getting the shipping price I have in the product block.. or in the actual cart area to total in with the product price. Therefore when Total cost is estimated under the cart categories (Qty, Image, shipping, Cost) shipping isn't being figured in.

In the manager, in the shipping logic area, try this:

@sc_shipping_logic = ( "|||-2.99|6.95",
"|||3-5.99|7.95",
"|||6-9.99|8.95",
"|||10-19.99|10.95");

$shipping_price = &calculate_shipping($temp_total,
$total_quantity, $total_measured_quantity);

Also, you will need to have the following parameters in the manager set as follows:
Use the custom shipping logic? "Yes"
If using Custom Logic, is shipping measured by weight? "Yes"

The shipping logic fields are defined below:
shipping_method|dollar amt|Quanity|Weight|shipping_charge
